- Shipping

Order Fulfillment and Shipping
Standard inventory orders received before 12am will be shipped the same business day (48 hours during the holiday season) from our Roasting facility in N. Fort Lauderdale. You will be prompted to choose a shipping option for your order and a destination postal code. Total shipping charges will be calculated and displayed during checkout. Orders are processed at the end of the following business day. Large volume or special orders may require more than one business day to process. This will not affect freshness.

- Returns / Refunds

At kuphills, we stand behind all of our products. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply contact us 14 days of receipt for an exchange or refund. Refunds are subject to a 20% restocking fee from the original purchase price. For purchases that qualify for free shipping, customer agrees to pay return shipping fees.

 

- How to make an online purchase at kuphills.com

Click on Shop Online in the site’s main navigation. On the page of a product you wish to order, select a format if required (K-Cup, ground, beans, pod).Then, determine the quantity by entering a numeric value in the designated field. Click on Add to cart. The Shopping Cart page appears and lists the articles you wish to order. You can modify your order (remove a product by clicking the red X in the Articles box, or modify the quantity).Click on Continue shopping if you wish to add more articles in your cart. If your order is complete, click on Checkout. The Subscribe page appears if you have not already logged in or created an account at kuphills.com. Submit information if needed. Enter your billing information. Fields marked with an asterisk are required. If your Billing Information is the same as your Shipping Information, check the designated box in the Shipping Information column. If you have a promotion code, enter it in the Promotion field. Club Java nation Members: there is no more mention of the club, but you maintain all your discount privileges and volume discounts. They are automatically applied on your order. Click on Next Step. Choose a shipping method. Click on Next Step. Read and confirm your personal and order details. To edit your order, click on Edit Order at the bottom of the page. If your order is correct, take account of the General terms and conditions, check the box and then click on Place Order. Enter your credit card information. Click on Make Payment.

- How many calories are there in a cup of coffee?

Coffee is 98.5% water, so it has very little calories (approximately 5 per cup)or nutritional value regardless of brewing method. On the other hand, milk, cream and sugar all contain calories, so keep that in mind if you're concerned about your caloric intake.

 

- Do kuphills flavored coffees contain sugar or nut proteins?

We flavor our coffees by adding a liquid concentrate to ground coffee or whole beans which is considered superior to powders. The liquid flavors used are certified not to contain nuts or nut products, gluten, meats and sugar, and are certified by the supplier to this effect.

 

- How much caffeine is in a cup of coffee or tea?

Caffeine content varies greatly depending on how the beverage is prepared. Many factors such as contact time, brewing water temperature, particle size of coffee grinds, type and roast of coffee beans, will impact on caffeine level  and extraction. That’s why it’s very difficult for us to provide exact information for all of our blends and coffees. Reputable sources usually agree that an 8-oz cup of drip filtered coffee can contain up to 180 mg of caffeine. As a comparison, regular tea contains between 30 and 60 mg and a can of cola contains 34 mg. Herbal teas contain no caffeine at all.

 

- Are kuphills coffee cups recyclable?

Close attention is paid to the environmental impact of the cups we use to serve coffee and we are always looking for sustainable solutions. Choosing a truly green cup is always a challenge and this issue is not taken lightly. We must consider factors that go beyond the inclusion of recycled matter in the cup’s composition. The energy needed to manufacture the cup is also part of the equation. Furthermore, opting for recycling always depends on the availability of local infrastructures which are currently inconsistent. Wherever possible, we offer our clients reusable porcelain cups or reusable cups especially designed for drinks to go. - Does kuphills coffee contain gluten?

Coffee does not contain gluten. kuphills pure roasted coffee is gluten-free. Gluten can sometimes be found in the artificial flavoring is used to make flavored coffees, but we purchase flavorings that are gluten-free. Bear in mind that it is up to our suppliers to declare any possible presence of gluten or other allergens in their products. For that reason and, because we are conscious that even a minute amount of gluten accidentally coming into contact with one of our flavors could have serious consequences, it is our policy to discourage people who acknowledge gluten sensitivity (celiac disease) to consume our flavored coffees.

 

- What is a Best Before vs a Best Used By date?

Freshness is an important factor in the enjoyment of any cup of coffee. While some products – like K-Cup® packs – show a best used by date, this date highlights the period that coffee is at its peak of freshness. Coffee doesn’t have an expiry date and is always safe to consume, but once it has lost its freshness, its flavor will be less intense .Look for K-Cup® packs' Best Used By date on the box and on each K-Cup® pack.

 

- Are K-Cup® packs, bags and cans recyclable?

K-cup® packs for the moment, the foil top and plastic cup are not recyclable. The challenge of protecting the freshness of roasted coffee while using environmentally-friendly packaging is one that both kuphills and Keurig® are committed to resolving. We are very sensitive about the waste created by the K-Cup® packs and are investigating alternative materials. Bags In the interest of product freshness, we make our bags with an exterior of polylaminate and an interior aluminum foil. This means our bags are not recyclable at present. kuphills is always on the forefront of the latest product packaging processes that minimize the impact on our environment, and it is our hope that new developments in recycling and packaging materials will allow us to use recyclable bags in future. Our clients can choose entirely recyclable coffee cans.

 

- What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade aims to ensure farmers and workers behind Fair Trade Certified products get a better deal and improved terms of trade. The Fair Trade certification sets out to tackle poverty and increase empowerment of farmers and farm workers in developing countries. The Fair Trade certification ensures fair and stable prices for coffee growers with a minimum price that aims to cover the average costs of sustainable production. This acts as a safety protection at times when world markets fall below a sustainable level. In addition, a Fair Trade Premium is also paid to producers who can invest it in a communal fund and use it to improve the quality of their lives. Fair Trade Certified coffees also contribute to protect the environment by encouraging coffee growers to implement environmentally sustainable farming and production practices. For example, farmers must not use certain harmful chemicals, as well as products which include GMOs. Coffee growers are also encouraged to strive toward Organic certification. Fair Trade Certified products also guarantee decent and fair working conditions. For example, child labour is prohibited. Fair Trade also means long-term trading relationships between producers, traders and companies – and gives a greater control to producers over the trading process. Fair Trade also enables producers to receive pre-payment from buyers. The Fair Trade certification system monitors the supply chain, from the producers to the packaging. kuphills Fair Trade coffees are certified by TransFair Canada (http://www.transfair.ca/ ), a non-profit organization member of the Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO). FLO sets the Fair Trade standards, supports producers and inspects (through its independent certification company) producers and traders to ensure they comply with the standards.

 

- What is Organic?

kuphills promotes ecological production methods by offering its clients a wide array of Organic Certified coffees. By choosing and processing the best organic beans kuphills supports environmentally sound practices. Organic producers and processors need to strictly comply with organic standards. As producers, organic coffee growers use sustainable methods that protect the ecosystem, such as crop rotation, composting, and selective use of natural and non-chemical pesticides. Coffee beans are also grown and processed without the use of pesticides, synthetic chemical fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). kuphills Organic Certified coffees are certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA International),a non-profit, member-owned, organic certification organization that provides certification to farmers, processors and handlers in America, Asia, and Europe. The organic certification is delivered in exchange of a yearly fee and an annual inspection. The certification guarantees that good agricultural and organic practices are well respected by the growers, and that the transformation facilities (roasting and packaging) meet the organic criteria.
